I'm not proud to admit it, but...

...here's what I found when I cleaned out my car this morning:

a pencil
8 pens
several half-sticks of gum
a baseball cap
91 cents
a conducting baton
two car wash tokens
a washcloth
some laffy taffy
an ice scraper
a flashlight
one AAA battery
two rubber bands
...and enough garbage to nearly fill a 13-gallon bag

Curiously, I did NOT find a single napkin, Taco Bell hot sauce packet, or Goldfish cracker.

Stuff I found that isn't ours:

a Shrek figurine
lip balm
a lighter
one lone red glove
a lip liner
two more ice scrapers
a Hot Wheels-type toy car

If I didn't trust my husband - or if I didn't know this car was previously driven by women - the lip balm/liner might give me cause to worry. As it is, I'm more concerned with the fact that it's taken almost a year of owning this car for me to reach that far under the seats.

the glove is OJ's, and I want you to come clean on the laffy taffy - did you eat it??? don't lie.

The half sticks of gum doesn't surprise me. I am also a halfer when it comes to gum, and I also find halfs all over the place (which are then too dusty and/or exposed to everything else that they are not quite edible anymore).

I love all the stuff you found that isn't yours. How big is this vehicle? It sounds like a 15-passenger van! ;)
And Suz, my trick with the half-pieces of gum is to use the wrapper from the half you are chewing to double-cover the other half, thus protecting the slice that would otherwise be exposed. It usually works well.

If you took a look in our car on any given day, you would feel a lot better!

Maybe some of that stuff is mine, Brittany, but I can't remember leaving it in your car...it's been a while.

Maybe you could sell some of that stuff. you know, garage/car sale or something.

It's weird how things end up in cars.

With the suburban, I used to just blame the previous owners (The Bowmans, Mom and Dad). But then, closing in on 3 years of having the suburban, it seems less and less likely that Danny or Mom is sneaking over in the middle of the night and leaving old newspapers, church magazines, and Honey Nut Cheerios underneath our seats.

Can I have one of your extra ice scrapers? We always lose ours.
