On Holiday

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to those of us who still remember it as such, and for the politically-correct at heart, a very Merry Civil Rights Day to you.

I am particularly grateful for the holiday this year, but maybe not for the reasons I should be; mostly I'm thrilled that it gave Matt the day off to stay home and hang out with me. Since he didn't have to get up early this morning, we stayed up last night playing games and laughing ourselves silly like we haven't in a long time. After a few rounds of Boggle (we are a frustratingly even match), TriBond (he's better) and Crack the Case (he's WAAAY better), I couldn't help but smile my way to sleep. It was easily one of my favorite days of my married life.

Thanks, honey, for suggesting that we spend some time together, for letting me sleep in this snowy morning, and for washing all those dishes (at least, I think that's what you're doing in the kitchen right now).

So, may you all do something fun for your MLK-Civil Rights Day, and if it's any good, leave a comment for everyone to enjoy. Happy Holiday!

Don't let her fool you, she blew me out of the water at boggle, and she got a lot harder case at crack the and tribond was even.

Mark and I have tried boggle in Spanish. What a joke! We finally had to make a rule that you got free bogus Spanish words and then each word that wasn't really a Spanish word counted against you. Scrabble was not too successful either. Sounds like you've had a great holiday though. Take care of that cute Truman. I want to play with him.

I must admit, so humbly, I rock at boggle and Ryan won't play with me. It could be because my senior year of highschool I took a floral design class, the teacher was never there, but there was a box of Master Boggle in the classroom and my table played EVERY day. Ryan loves to play games of chance however, for whatever reason he beats me battleship everytime...
I'm glad you had such a great evening.
Oh and, I saw on a calander the other day, Today Monday January
21st Human Rights Day...

I didn't even know the holiday changed names. My calendar is behind too, it says it's Martin Luther King day still. I'm with you on the best part of the holiday being hubby gets to stay home. We actually had breakfast as a family and I got to sleep in on a Monday! That never happens.

I played boggle with my sister in law in Rexburg because Nate hates it. That was an intense game. You two are adorable!

Correction, Mike: he was doing the dishes to butter her up so that she let him play axis and allies for a couple of hours.
Great strategy, Matt, and impressive tactics, too. I'll have to use it.
