I've read the same thing, and I must say I've never purposely put Aaron down alone in front of the TV as a way to occupy him, but he does watch it every day with me. At times, I think he really enjoys it.
I think they mean leaving the child in front of non-educational shows by themselves for long periods of time (at least that's what I tell myself). Seth has learned a lot of things from PBS.
I heard the same thing but I've also heard its violent and mature shows you really have to watch out for. (Even Disney movies can be violent) So I prefer Backyardigans or Yo Gabba Gabba which Tyson LOVES!
It's too late for us. The boys are two and a half. I guess I'll just give up on them for the rest of their lives now that they are tainted by television.

Well, my child is ruined.

I think those are pediatricians who don't actually have children of their own!!
I'm with Dawn. Or maybe they just say outrageous things to try to keep things moderate. Who knows?

I think I might have heard that sometime. I agree, those pediatricians must have no kids of their own.
That's because in medical school they have a course called "how to make mothers feel more guilty", and you just got sucked in.
btw, at my first read I thought you had written "pedestrians" and I was like, "What the h___ do they care?"

Do hours and hours of Baby Beethoven count as TV?
A little t.v. never hurt anyone I say.
