I think it's Brian Regan who has a sketch about how if the plural of 'ox' is 'oxen,' the plural of 'box' should be 'boxen.'
For those who don't know, we are moving on Saturday and are therefore living amid cardboard boxen for the next five days. This is not to be confused with living in a cardboard box, which is something entirely different - though this does feel somewhat similar to living out of a suitcase. And it is sort of driving me out of my mind.
I find myself trying to make the most of our last few days here; we're not moving that far away, but I know I won't be able to take my early morning walks along the river trail or walk to the grocery store where we're headed. And we're spending like fiends since we're trying to use up all the coupons we have for around here because, as Matt says, "That's how you really save money."
I am going to miss my little house - maybe not the brown carpet so much, but the picturesque look of the front yard, knowing that I brought my first baby home from the hospital to these four walls, the impossibly small bathroom (wait, not that either...), being able to jump around in the living room doing workout videos without getting a call from downstairs neighbors. It's been good to us.
I am really going to miss the friends we've made here. I don't know much what else to say about that, except that if they're reading this, they know who they are.
And it's on to the next big adventure.

I know it is sad to leave your house, but I have to say I am excited for all your boxen to make their way closer to me!
love that little house, but you will be closer to me, and the wii.
I think you'll find plenty of coupons for nearby vendors at your new place as well--tell Matt not to fret--you can continue to "save" money.
Do you need any help?...Moving - I mean. I have a team of oxen that is good moving boxen, but they get scared by foxen.
Moving...fun,.. do you rent? u must live over by maceys or something. trying to think where is close to the river trail and a grocery store,.. haha. where are you moving to? That will be us in a month moving boxen as well. Not sure where we're going yet. Hopefully to my new house. :)
Ten points for reminding me about Brian Regan, a.k.a. The Funniest Man Ever. Also, I think I might copy and paste this to my own blog since we are also moving on Saturday. I feel so much closer to you now! Except we've been here FOURTEEN YEARS and it's going to be really hard. It's hard to think that anyone can measure up to the people of PC Ward. I hope I'll still see you sometimes when you come home to visit!
It will be sad to leave here. But then again, our next place will be where Truman learns to walk and talk. Maybe we can convince all of our friends to move with us!
All I knowd is dat you aint movin any closer to me an my homey...eh, hem...sorry, You are not moving any closer to my house. So quit yer whinin...we should be the ones who are sad...all the trouble movin them boxen and it doesn't benefit me!
Sniff sniff.
If I had words to adequately describe our angst, I would write them.
...
Can we convince you to leave the boy with us? We'd be SURE to stay in touch :)
Moving is the pits. What a great post.
thanks for the fun times! Sad to see you go. Glad though that we can keep in touch on here!
Brittany. I guess you could say I blog stalked you. I would love to keep in touch. Send me an email and I can send you an invite to our blog. Where did you move to? candiceinveni@hotmail.com
