When I bought milk last week, I bought one gallon that expired the 24th and one that was good until the 26th. I thought, "Will these milks go bad before I have my baby?"
It's all I can think about these days. I make plans with the caveat "...if I don't have my baby, of course." I am constantly working up strategies for what I would do if my water broke at any given moment (in the temple last week, the grocery store today, during a visiting teaching appointment tomorrow) - who I would call to watch Truman, whether I'd have to call Matt home from work, etc. etc. I'm supposed to teach Relief Society on Sunday, and the RS president joked with me yesterday that my water would break while I was up there teaching. Now THAT would be something to blog about.
So we wait and wonder, knowing that, no matter what, we're at most 14 days away from having a baby (as I have an induction scheduled for November 3rd). It will be the longest two weeks of my life! And yet I'm torn too, because I realize that these are my last one-on-one days with my first 'baby' - who isn't such a baby anymore and whose life is about to be turned positively upside-down by a little brother.
Good thing I believe that babies come when they're supposed to, and I think this one's holding out for Matt's best friend's birthday this Saturday, the 24th. And then picking a name will be easy: prepare to welcome Bum Johnson.

I know what you mean about the waiting game. I got really paranoid that my water would break in RS when I was nearing the end with Tingen. Good luck with the waiting game. I can't wait to see pictures!
GOod luck! Can't wait to have you blog about it :)
I do have some good advice for you though... WHen you bring home baby number 2, make sure that if baby number 1 needs something, you get up and do it, regardless of what you're doing with baby number 2, because baby number 2 won't remember it a few minutes from now but baby number one will. It'll also help baby number one know that they're not being replaced.
Why didn't you just buy two gallons that expired the 26th?
Well, no matter when little Bum arrives, GOOD LUCK! We are so excited to meet him.
that anticipation can be nerve racking for sure! If you need someone to watch Truman while you are in the hospital don't hesitate to ask me I would be love it!
You could also go for the 29th and he'd share the day with Spencer. or Halloween and share with Mckay.
I hope he comes when you are rested and ready and that everything goes really smoothly!
A Bum Johnson would probably be Seth's favorite cousin so far.
I'm totally cheering for the 24th! I want his name to be Bum. That would be awesome. Good luck Brittany. I hate the waiting part at the end of pregnancy. Can't wait to see the new little guy.
You can always call us to watch Truman....we even got our vaccinations yesterday! Uh- Bum...that will take some getting used to :) Lets hang out before this baby comes.
I must say that I will be secretly (or I guess not so secretly now) hoping for you to wait til november 1st...then you could come to the Halloween party! :)
Hm. If you name this baby Bum then I suggest you name the next baby (a girl) Suzanne.
I love you Bo. Give us a call when you feel up to it.
I agree. It is all-consuming at the end, just waiting and waiting.
I have a costume idea for you, Brittany, if you are still pregnant on Halloween. It is the same one I did when I was pregnant with Addie, if you remember, and it was a big hit.
Hey, but I wanted to name MY kid "Bum"! Copycat.
Good luck when it all comes to its grand climax!
I was going to comment but it seems to me you have enough comments so I won't. ;)
