I really ought to go into more detail about the amazing day I had yesterday, but this little summary will have to suffice:
Matt got up with Truman at 5:30 am and announced that he wasn't going to work; instead he had arranged for a sitter (thanks, Amy!) so we could go to the Salt Lake Temple. My first time. What a glorious way to spend a birthday morning. Then I had a gyro for lunch. How could the day get any better, right? Like this:
During dessert that night, we got a call from our realtor. The counteroffer on the house we love (and put an offer on last Friday) was just what we'd hoped for, so for my birthday we...BOUGHT A HOUSE. Matt says he never has to get me another birthday gift since this one was so expensive.
Today, in what I consider an extension of birthday festivities, we had our 20-week ultrasound. The baby was very active the whole time, and the tech told us again and again how beautiful and well-formed the brain, heart, spine, legs...wait, what's that? That's definitely a BOY. I was shocked, and still am, but thrilled that Truman will be getting a little brother. We got a great shot of him sucking his fingers, and I'm already in love.
But I guess that purple nursery in the new house will have to go.

maybe save the purple room. it can be a guest room for now and who knows...maybe eventually truman and ??? will have a little sister.
We are so happy to hear it's a boy! Congrats on the house! (oh, and in case you didn't know, Bryon and I were some of the people singing to you from my parents' house yesterday. We didn't forget to call you.

Happy Birthday and congrats on the new house and the prospect of another baby boy. Truman will be so happy to have a playmate. I'd love to come and see your house. I'm guessing it's not to far from me. That's good because now we can get together for dinner and such.

Congrats on a great birthday, a new house and another boy! I'm with you on the little girl nursery. I told David that I want to decorate the nursery for a girl when we move. We're not pregnant and don't have any girls yet, but I figure, why not be prepared, right?

I'm glad you had such a great birthday. And congrats on the boy. Remember how I was so sure Ezra was a girl, too? I know the shocked feeling. But two boys are so much fun!
I'm excited for Aaron to have another cousin! I have to admit though...with every new boy in this Johnson family, my hopes of having a girl grow slimmer and slimmer... :-)

Our house is in Provo... alas our lives are parallel but not yet to intersect though if you're ever wanting a playmate for Truman that would be fun! Congrats again!
